More about Heather:
- Q. When and why did you decide to move to Chicago?
- A. I grew up in Port Washington (small town), Wisconsin. After I graduated from college in 2005, I decided that it was time to try city living, and Chicago seemed like the perfect choice. I have been here ever since and I love it!
- Q. What were your majors in college?
- A. I graduated from Marquette University with a BA in Public Relations and English Literature. While I value my communications degree, English has always been my passion!
- Q. Do you have any other jobs?
- A. Yes! Aside from being a calligrapher, I am also a newly-certified high school English teacher! I am working on my MA in Secondary Education and loving every minute of it. It is my goal to become a teacher in the Chicago Public School district so that I can teach and help Chicago's youth. I also work at an animal hospital part time. I love being busy!
- Q. Who are your favorite people to spend time with?
- A. My husband and my daughter (who recently turned 1). They are amazing!
- Q. Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
- A. Of course! Painting, drawing, reading, writing, crafting, traveling (San Francisco is my favorite city), and baking!
